The new cruise ship Norwegian Prima was successfully delivered to the American Norwegian Cruise Line. The Norwegian Prima is the first of six planned ships of the Prima class. The highlight of the ship is our RiMO GERMANY kart track.
The Prima Speedway is the longest and the only three-story karting track in the world at sea. At 420 meters long and 6 meters wide, it spans a full three decks. The Prima Speedway has a longer straight line and is longer overall than the current longest kart track on Norwegian Encore. The speedway goes around and through the ship's funnel and features 14 exciting turns. At a speed of approx.
30 kilometers per hour, visitors can experience a unique driving experience. The ride is equipped with the RiMO wave-band system, which picks up the hull color of the ship on the design stickers. Everything has been specially adapted to the ship and is therefore absolutely seaworthy. The Norwegian Prima has a total of 32 SiNUS iON and 8 TWiN karts, as well as its own workshop. The ship is now underway and will be docking in Scandinavia and the Caribbean, among other places.

A Kart Track of Superlatives.

The meanwhile third ship of Norwegian Cruise Lines with a go-kart track on board was handed over to the shipping company by Meyer Werft in Germany at the end of 2019.

With a length of 350 metres and a track width of 5.5 metres, the go-kart track has again achieved the world record of the largest go-kart track on a cruise ship. We were thus able to continue our success story of the past years, in which we first equipped the Norwegian Joy and directly afterwards the Bliss with an appropriate system.

The electrical SiNUS iONs used have been specially adapted to the particularly challenging saline environment, which causes metal to rust in a very short time. The entire electronic system is also corrosion-resistant.

On the two upper decks, decks 18 and 19, of the 334 m long and 41 m wide ship, the multilevel system with two ramps was designed by RiMO. A special feature of the "Norwegian Speedway" is the 4 metre wide overhang of the track over the actual deck on both sides of the ship: a thrilling bonus.

A further highlight is the world premiere of the RiMO Laser Game: the spectators of the races can aim at sensors of the karts with a total of ten laser taggers from the grandstand, compete with each other and, depending on the operator's software settings, activate an extra boost for the driver.

The kart track has already been able to inspire thousands of holidaymakers in its area of operation between Miami and the Caribbean.

We wish you a continued good trip on both: vessel and karts!
