RiMO has a name for the technological future of alternative drives: SiNUS.  We make use of the latest technology available.  The entire development is done by RiMO, mainly distinguishing itself from all other electric karts by the vehicles’ construction and/or the technical design.  RiMO uses 2 electric motors, each with a rated output of 2.8 kW and a maximum of 12 kW.
The motors are 48 V AC permanent-magnet synchronous motors which, unlike usual DC motors, include neither brushes nor coals.  The lithium-iron-manganese-4-phosphate batteries (LiFeMnPO4 batteries) ensure safe operation. (ELITEPOWERSOLUTIONS) external link

  • Protection category IP 64 – weatherproof (even when it rains)
  • Very high degree of efficiency ≧90%
  • Electronic differential
  • Separate actuation and braking for both rear wheels
  • Very low guidance forces (no rigid drive shaft)
  • Minimised tyre abrasion
  • Brake energy recovery (recuperation*), resulting in reduced energy consumption and minimised brake pad abrasion
  • The freely programmable controller allows selecting the optimum setup for each track
  • Uptime logged in the controller unit
  • Long driving time of up to 60 minutes / short charging time of approx. 1 hour
  • Safe and reliable handling
  • We preferably install components of German manufacturers
  • RACS (RiMO Advanced Cooling System) with its two fans integrated in the sidepods allows for the permanent cooling of batteries, engines and transmissions.  This makes even long-distance kart racing possible, which has already been field-tested during 24-hour races.
  • The batteries are disposed of by RiMO in full compliance with the German Battery Act (BattG) PDF document
  • Unlike conventional DC motors, the brushless motor does not cause particle pollution
  • Due to the design, the motor is protected against overload even in case of operating errors
  • Reverse gear
  • Symmetrical chassis with balance point on the longitudinal axis

* Recuperation describes the process of energy recovery by reversing the engine from the drive function to generator.
